South Pacific Gone Wild

Party history was made: First time ever a Medieval Castle was turned into a WWII battleship

Pop-dance recording artist Sir Ivan closed out the summer this year with yet another giant bash at his Hamptons Castle with his Sailors and Sinners Soiree. Men wore all white and sailor hats, and the women were dressed in burlesque outfits with feathered boas. TMZ favorite Dina Lohan, George Wayne of Vanity Fair and CBS’s Bart Scott (a former NY Jet) were among the 500+ guests in attendance. Global DJ, songwriter and remixer Sin Morera, who recently headlined at Vienna’s Life Ball, the largest AIDS fundraiser in all of Europe, kept the crowd dancing all night.

Party history was made when, for one night only, Sir Ivan’s entire medieval-style Castle was transformed into a WWII battleship, the U.S.S. Sir Ivan’s Castle. The entire three-story structure was draped in grey muslin fabric. A large American flag flew above at the prow of the ship and an enormous golden anchor was at the stern. Giant lif…

The Villages Group - Rainbow is the first gay “active living” community for over 50s in France & Europe!
*Rise in demand for "gay and gray" housing projects

The gay community are the newest group to fuel the booming retirement housing market, which already offers developments catering to art enthusiasts, musicians, military veterans and university alumni.

Gay baby boomers are the first generation to come of age after the “gay rights” movements in the 1970s and with the gay marriage law recently passed in many countries making many in the LGBT community to feel more open positive about their sexual orientation than previous generations.

Indeed, over the last decade, as attitudes have relaxed and more people live openly gay, there has been a wave of housing projects popping up across the globe to serve the "gay and gray" population but the idea of building such communities in Europe had not progressed much beyond talk until now.

The Villages Group - Rainbow, a 7 h…
